We have done displays for the US Army Infantry Museum, Special Forces Advanced Skills School (Sniper, CQB, HALO and Combat Diver), SOCOM and others. Award-Winning Diorama Ranger HMMWV OIF I Syrian Border This is an award winning diorama created as a tribute to my customers. It received 1st place in the diorama category two years ago at a GI Joe event in Atlanta GA. It depicts a Ranger patrol with PJ and “Guest” conducting an economy of force mission along the Iraqi Syrian border circa 2003. It has aserved as one of our showpiece store displays for tha last four years. Additionally it has toured several venues we had at Ft. Benning, Bragg, Campbell, MacDilland Eglin AFB. It has constantly drawn crowds and compliments. It has about 80 hours invested in its creation and consists of custom hand made and high end components. Below is a description of the key parts of the display. Driver – DML nude with Kent headsculpt (molded tankers helmet), goggles, custom special ops modified DCUs, SPEARS woodland pattern body armor, DML molded desert boots, Suppressed M4 w/foregrip and laser pointer secured with 100mph tape. Commander - DiD nude. Custom ACH helmet w/plate NVG mount, tan nomex gloves custom special ops modified DCUs, SPEARS woodland pattern body armor, woodland pattern rack w/3 x 5.56 magazines (w/magpuls) & 3 9mm mags, EMBTR radio w/Peltor headset & PTT, Hellstorm Kneepads, BBI molded desert boots, Shorty M4 w/M900 surefire foregrip & PEQ2 w/single point sling, black dropleg safariland holster w/M9, snaplink, surefire flashlight, strobe & Custom “No Fat Chicks” patch. PJ - DiD nude.Gallet Cut MICH helmet w/plate NVG mount, ACE special ops modified DCUs, Personal body armor, 5.56 magazines, Radio w/tash headset & PTT, Hellstorm Kneepads, TS Desert Issue Boots, M4 w/M68 Close Combat Optic & PEQ2 w/single point sling, M5 Aid Bag, Custom “I Don’t give a Rat’s Ass” patch. Guest – Bad guy in man dress, custom trou (bleached jungle fatigues), sneakers, zip ties, Bedouin shemagh, sneakers, AK47, Brit rack in woodland DPM, party hat (sandbag). HMMWV w/.50 cal – HMMWV is custom painted and weathered, duct tape applied to all lights & reflective surfaces to avoid shine, custom hood mounted tow rope, .50 cal is METAL includes tripod & T & E mechanism & 20 linked brass rounds in a scratchbuilt ammo box, seats are covered in weathered fabric.
